In 1928, Vernon Payne was teaching students at the Aviation Service and Transport Company aircraft school in Chicago. In an effort to make the classes more interesting for the students, he changed the topic to minimum-sized sport airplanes. By the time class was over, there was a rough sketch on the blackboard of a tiny biplane. This was the beginning of what would become the Knight Twister. The aircraft went through many variants over the years, with four versions currently being offered by Steen Aero Lab.
Our kit is based on the KT-85, which is the 50's variant of the plane and will be sold as a full kit.
The 34.5% scale model was designed to be powered by a 30cc gas or 120+ nitro engine.

Testing for the model has been completed. The kit is currently being put together and will be released fall 2015.
